Rosé 2020

Pinot Noir grapes were hand harvested on April 22nd and May 7th 2020 from two Central Otago vineyards. (Accredited Sustainable Winegrowers of NZ, CO040 and CO1079). The fruit was whole bunch pressed to a stainless steel tank for cold settling for two days. The juice was then racked and inoculated with selected wine yeast.  The cool fermentation was stopped to retain 3.6 g/L residual sugar.  

Wine notes

Colour: Pale salmon pink with watermelon hues.

Fragrance: Perfumed with raspberry, ripe peach, rose petal, ripe melon, strawberry and apple blossom.

Taste: Lush entry of ripe strawberry, nectarine, cranberry, apple and a hint of liquorice. Complex and medium bodied with bright acidity, finely textured phenolics and a long mineral finish.

Alcohol 14.2% Vol
8.4 standard drinks
Contains sulphites (Total < 50 mg/L)
Yeast and enzyme additions assist in winemaking.
