Rosé 2020
Pinot Noir grapes were hand harvested on April 22nd and May 7th 2020 from two Central Otago vineyards.
The fruit was whole bunch pressed to a stainless steel tank for cold settling for two days. The juice was then racked and inoculated with selected wine yeast. The cool fermentation was stopped to retain 3.6 g/L residual sugar.
Wine notes
Colour: Pale salmon pink with watermelon hues.
Fragrance: Perfumed with raspberry, ripe peach, rose petal, ripe melon, strawberry and apple blossom.
Taste: Lush entry of ripe strawberry, nectarine, cranberry, apple and a hint of liquorice. Complex and medium bodied with bright acidity, finely textured phenolics and a long mineral finish.
